Wondering the difference with the step work between AA & NA??

Answers: Virtually no difference--working the steps, sponsor as guide, frequent meetings, reading the Big Book and taking it one day at a time. AA started in the late or mid-1930's, and NA came along a lot later--the dopers realized that principles of AA had the same impact & effect on them as they did on alkies. I've seen cross-over members from NA going to AA [and vice-versa] and fitting right in. If you need a meeting, which substance you're killing yourself with won't matter. Main difference is the horror stories...most drunkalogs don't include prison sentences, and an alky can shop at the corner store instead of up an alley. Otherwise, messed up is the same all over the world.
it's basically the same. AA came first, all other groups came afterwards but it is still the same regimen for recovery and abstaining from whatever. good luck
I have never been involved at a personal level with the groups, but have had several friends and their family go through the programs...

I believe that AA was the first, beginning in the 30's...

I also believe that the step work is not different between AA and NA...

I also believe that OEA and other organizations have the basic 12 steps - as it truly is universal...just subsitute your vice (whether it be alcohol, drugs, food, sex, etc)....
