What is a good cream to put on a deep burn from the oven rack??
Answers: ok if you dont want to go to a doc which i hate its really easy i promise it keps from blistering and stops the pain just get some backing powder and add some water and make a thick paste then just put it on the burn and then when it drys do it again and do it one more time before you go to bed DONT PUT JUST PLAIN WATER IT WILL GET A BLISTER
If it's a bad burn, you should see a doctor. If it's a supeficial burn, you could use the antibiotic cream or aloe gel. Tylenol for pain may also help. Make sure you have stopped the burning first by putting the affected area in cold water for a while. **And be careful when you put it near heat sources for a while. It will feel like it's burning all over again.
I cook a great deal and these burns happen quite often. This will sound odd but I keep a tube of tooth paste on my kitchen window sill. When I get burned, I immediately cover the burn with a gob of toothpaste....(the white kind, not gel). I don't know why, but the redness goes away and usually there is no blistering. When its really bad, I put on the toothpaste and then wet a paper towel and wrap a few ice cubes in it and hold it on the burn for a while (20 minutes?) In most cases the next day it might be a little pink but the pain is gone and color returns to normal in a day or 2.
Please note...this is for a fresh new burn.....please don't try this on a burn that has already begun to blister or is healing.
if it is a deep burn you should see a doctor so you do not get an infection....normally for deep burns they use silvadene cream which is the best there is for burns.
if its not to bad triple antiboitic ointment is good , wash the area good, apply ointment and cover with a bandaid..
just watch for signs of infection
you might try triple antibiotic ointment, but if its really bad you should see a doctor
CALENDULA OINTMENT its Homeopathic and its the best, nothing compares to it .
Take care and God Bless you !
Do you have any Aloe plants? If not go to your local drugstore and buy Aloe cream, or go with Cortizone which seems to work perfectly good. I know because ive burnt my self pretty bad and it soothed it leaving barely a scar to see.
Wash it in really cool water, not ice!! Keep your burn clean, dry and moisturized. A triple antibiotic CREAM with an analgesic in it will help keep it from itching and hurting.
Also, you can try a natural beeswax (like burt's bees chapstick) to keep the moisture in.
