Manual treadmill??
Question: i'm interested in purchasing one. good idea or not? do you get a good workout? opinions and facts would be nice.
Answers: I want to purchase a treadmill but I want it to be automatic so that I don't have to get off the machine in order to adjust it to whatever I want for that particular day. At a touch of a button, it's done.
Another point that I've found useful in thinking of a purchase, is to have it fold-up at a touch of a button. Sure it costs more, but it doesn't take away from your momentum to get your cardio in.
I've noticed that now that I've bought my portable DVD player, more treadmills are coming out with one built-in. I'm already thinking about the warranty issues on that one and who fixes what and where.
I personally like the portability of the DVD player so that I can use it where I want and not have to bring along the treadmill during a summer lawn workout.
My mom had one of these when I lived with her. I used it regularly or so I thought I did until I bought a treadmill for myself ( no, it wasnt manual). Now I work out about 5 times more than what I did with my mom's treadmill. All I can say is try it for yourself then decide. As for myself.....manual is only great for vehicles. Hahaha. Good Luck to ya!
Sometimes on freecycle you can find a free one ??
I goto a gym for less that that I can make monthly payments on machines
My friend has one, I've been on it. Not good at all. I'd say spend the extra and get the real deal. (An Elliptical is even better!)
Isn't that like running in place. I don't know. I would just regualr one unless its a lot cheaper and not in the budget.
Treadmill exercising is one of the best all round exercies you can do. I have used a manual but I find the electric models are better. Tons to choose from. You may want to read this about treadmill exercises.
I always had a problem with the manual treadmills. They were too hard.
I just bought one from a co worker for 200.00 and I have lost eight pounds in the past 3 weeks, so I say go for it, it dosent have to be anything fancy.. just enough to run on. Try Walmart.com .. that is where I was looking before I came across my offer, they have pretty good deals .. Good Luck!
i have one its not very good its kind of hard to get started but once you get started its easier. electric i think are better because they stay at a constant speed and they have more options.
not too bad, but If I were you, I will invest to electronics one, expensive tho but you can recline it thru 5 degrees, which like walking on the hill.I have one and lots of features on it, like TV, MPEG, so I cant get bored doing my regimen.
i cant understand anyone who buy a treadmill your trying to get fit jog outside and get some fresh air.
i'd say spend the extra money and get a non-manual one that way you'll actually use it
