Death to the acne!??
Question: Ok folks I have been hit by the dreaded face pox and I need the low down on how to eliminate this infuriating problem.
I want to know what worked for you and how it worked. I don't want a list of items I should use because they have a good reputation,I want a recommended product that you have had personal experience with.
What's the product called?
What did it cost?
How often did/do you have to use it?
How well did it work?
How quickly did it work?
What were the noticable effects? (i.e. less red skin,less greasy skin,smaller spots,smaller pores,did it make your skin dry/flakey ect.)
Positive and Negative effects?
Or maybe you could suggest a treatment I could discuss with a Doc?
The acne is of moderate strength,mostly contained beneath the skin (very few spot heads) seems to be hormonally linked and doesn't seem to respond well to Tetracycline or Benzyl Peroxide
Please do not suggest Proactiv to me I cannot/will not touch it.

Answers: I had that same problem, but i started using Nuetrogena oil-free acne wash with salicyc acid, then i used Boire triple action cleanser, it tightens your pores, then i used a face moisturizer, and at the end i just put any type of acne cream on top of the pimples, and it worked. I started using it like about 4 weeksago, because i started getting pimples. It is not that expensive. The acne wash was probably around 5-7 dollars, the boire triple action was 7-9 dollars, and the moisturizer like around 5 and the acne cream like 6. it really worked for me and so far i have not even used that much of everything. It really works. My face cleared up, and its really soft. once in a while i get really small pimples, and i use neosporin so it can go away faster. If you must pop a pimple, use neosporin after you are done. It really works.
raised 3 girls and me with no problems treating blackheads and zits! use white or brown sugar for scrubs, honey and plain yogurt masks, and crushed aspirin made into paste with a bit of water to take away the zits redness and swelling. and before bed, dab on zinc cream(baby diaper cream) and now i use grapeseed oil to moisturize, does not clog pores, and can lessen appearance of wrinkles and scars, everything from the grocery store, cheap and safe!
The books I have read about candida albicans (yeast) indicate that it is responsible for acne as well as other skin disorders.
There are books with (very strict) diets for yeast control. If nothing else works, you may want to check one out of the library or check it out on the internet.
The one that helped me was by Dr. John Trowbridge.
It was an eye-opener about the effect of yeast on humans.
Short term, up your yogurt in your diet - preferably plain yogurt.
