Question about excema??

Question: I have a bad case of excema. Are there any over the counter ointments, pills, special soaps, ANYTHING that I can use to keep it under control. If you suffer from excema as well what do you do to keep it cool?
Answers: I have very severe excema.

Over the counter- Hydrocoritizone Cream and Elidel are miracle workers!!! It takes 3 days for full effect.

Natural Remedies- Crisco on affected area or consume borage oil tablets (or else it tastes Gross!!!) they are moisterizing to your skin.

At night- wear socks and pants as well as long sleeve shirts. You might also want to wear gloves.

Use moisturzing shea butter soap from Suave in the shower (the liquid form)

Follow these instructions and your skin will be cleared in no time!!!
I use eucerin cream on my eczema. It is expensive, but moisturizes without burning.
Keeping the area dry and cool will help some.

For me, I couldn't find any over-the-counter remedies. The only thing that's worked for me is Diprolene cream, which was prescribed by my doctor.

For now, try Hydrocortisone cream and possibly lotion to help soothe the area, and try to keep the area from getting sweaty. If all else fails, see if your doctor can prescribe something.
