I just got a birthmark. anyone know??

Question: i was painting my toes nails when i discovered a birthmark i never had before on one of my toes [the one next to my pinky toe
on the left side
its small, dark and round
i didnt have it there a while back ago
i barely go outside when its really sunny
or if i do, i go inside quickly.
im just wondering
is it normal to you get birthmarks like that or can it be cancer?
Answers: I would enjoy knowing a person's age to see how we can help them. If you're under 17 tell your parents. If you over 18 than seek medical advice. The only way to ever determine skin cancer is if the mark is larger than a pencil eraser. Its raised to a bump bigger than an average zit/acne. These skin marks you see are what we call moles, skin tags or blimishes.
you know ive heard if you find strange marks on your skin you should see a doctor right away just to be safe.
Keep a very close eye on it. If it changes in shape or color, or grows rapidly, have it checked out by a dermatologist immediately.

My daughter, had to have a mole removed when she was very young. It appeared out of nowhere on her cheek very close to her eye and it had the weirdest blackish/bluish color to it. It grew in size in a matter of just a few short weeks.

When she saw the dermatologist, he said it was a very dangerous type of mole and needed to be removed immediately since this type grows even more rapidly under the skin than what is seen on top of the skin.

Thank heavens, it was caught it time and after biopsies only had pre-cancerous cells. She also was not spending time in the sun.

So, play it safe and watch for any changes!

Best wishes!
Skin Cancer usually appears on the face, shoulders and arms, but can appear elsewhere to. There are two types of skin cancer. Basil Cell is on the skin and even though it doesn't grow inward it can be a threat. The other skin cancer that grows inward can cause death. To be on the safe side I recomend you see a determatologist. Its not anything to play around with.
If the birthmark starts getting a crazy color or gets lumpy or gets bigger, I would see a doctor but it's just extra pigment in your skin so no need to fret.
It isn't a birth mark
