How long does it take for blood to cool after a person has died??
Answers: It starts to cool right away. But you didn't say to cool to what. Room temperature? The temperature of the surroundings? It will take longer to cool to 5 degrees than 55 degrees. Also, the blood is no longer circulating, so the blood on the outside of the body (which generally pools to whatever side is facing down) will be cooler than the blood on the inside of the body.
Its pretty quick, which is why the use the temperature of the liver to help identify the time of death.
uhm....ewwww
The blood cools with the rest of the body and begins to clot which is usually 3-4 hours but this depends on the temperature of the environment the body is in. Embalmers like to get to bodys quickly before the blood clots. Rigor mortis will set in in about 8 hours and will begin to disappear in about 24 hours.
gross....
I dont know. Why?
hmmm.... maybe about 1-3 hours depending on how much the blood, i think it might take longer because its in the inside
