Sleeping Problem - Worried??
Question: I have this sleeping problem every time i want to sleep. Usually, i'll get worried or restless for No reason. And my heartbeat will like go faster. So, my solution to this is to either watch the TV until i fall asleep or to sleep in my parents' bedroom. I'm 14 by the way. Am i having some kind of mental disorder? Am i stress? What should i do? I really hope i don't need to see the doctor. This happens like quite recently. I used to be able to sleep alone like soundly.
Answers: Make sure you tire yourself out,it could be the fact you haven't been very active so your body isn't ready to rest. Also try reading a book,i find this very helpful it makes you think a lot and gets your head a little tired and will hopefully make you rest easy. For the meantime, think positive and relax.
:)
I still ahve this problem. I went to the doctor for sleeping pills. Its u jsut think about stuff while ur not doing anyhting w/ ur hands. Mostly for me its stress or something i'm worried about. Do u have a pet? i learned in psychology that ppl w/ pets live longer and petting ur pet helps.
Try eating an apple ten minutes before you go to bed. An apple is a natural tranquilizer. It works wonders for me and has worked for anyone I've told it to. Good luck.
don't worry its all natural. there is no need to visit doctor. it may be adolescence problem.be confident.take rest as long time as u want. There is nothing wrong in sleeping
I have had sleeping problems for years. It could be stress, it depends on your situation. I have an overactive mind- so I just cannot sleep much. You may just feel restless short-term. If so, try relaxation techniques like yoga, stretching, counting backwards while relaxing your body, a hot bath, or exercise early in the day.
If it is more modertate, try chamomile tea, valerian root tablets, 5-HTP and or B Vitamins, melatonin or calcium.
If it is severe, you need to see a doc to help get you on a sleep rhythm.
Sounds like insomnia. I used to have it for about 6 mos when i was 12. Ask your parents if you can see a doctor or therapist about it. Getting help is probably the best way to go- I wish I had told someone about it at the time.
sounds like insomnia, i still have it but only get attacks every other week or so. Your body feels you should be doing something but your mind doesn't. Make yourself a playlist or listen to some newage/piano music. Diane arkenstone has some relaxing music. Exercise/jog in the morning to keep you active during the day, that way usually the mind says I already did something today . If it becomes serious talk to your doctor and he may prescribe some medication for sleep until your body gets adjusted. good luck!
Oh yea, I usually make myself a cup of green tea before I go to sleep, for some reason it relaxes me.
