How can someone reduce anxiety??
Question: I know that anxiety is natural. Every human feels it. But it is a problem if it is usual, severe and uncontrolled. How can someone controll shivering hands, body and fast heartbeat? Is there any way to strengthen our nerves?
Answers: think about a good joke about the situation that causes your anxiety.
You have to gradually work at reducing your anxiety. It'll take time. Some people need medication (see your doctor for this) due to a chemical imbalance that causes anxiety. Some psychological counseling or a support group might not be a bad idea, either.
Finally, get a lot of exercise, especially outside in the fresh air and sunshine. Then get plenty of rest and water. Just keep your body in good shape, and your anxiety should be significantly reduced.
I dunno how often you suffer from it..but it happens to me every once in a while. I find the working out at the gym helps a lot...by the time I leave I feel much better...like energized but relaxed...hope this helps.
Xanax, you have to get it from your Dr.
Anxiety results from one's appointing themselves to be in control of things they - are not. As the world refuses to behave according to their wishes and designs, an internal struggle insues.

I believe that it's something we will always have to deal with on some level. I too am severely anxiety prone. I bought a great tool about two years ago from the Midwest Center for Anxiety and Depression. It was great and really worked, but now I feel myself slipping back into anxiety that is uncontrollable. I'm going to pull out those DVDs and CDs and the workbook and do the program again. It worked very well for a long time. Look into it? No drugs is the way to go for me. I'd rather try to do it on my own by curing the thought processes rather than masking them with drugs.
God bless and good luck.
Getting the proper nutrition, eating properly is number 1 in helping a nervous condition. at this time I am getting some help for the same symptoms you have. My doctor was wonderful to see this problem before I knew it. I am taking a mild antianxiety medication and it does help alot, and of course we need to mostly help ourselves becuase we are responsible mostly for what we are feeling. Talk to your doctor about yourself , and try to stay calm by breathing methods of which is easily learned as in yoga. good luck.

anxiey is a fear of not being able to understand whats going on around you ,or a fear of being found out .i would suggest seeing a theropist who might be able to help.you can also swat up on topics that the people you assosciate with usually talk about it might help.good luck
I suffer from anxiety too. I think the best way to help you not be as anxious is to do something that scares you everyday.
For an example, go out to your local shopping market with someone. Do something by yourself, go to the beach by yourself, go to the movies by yourself.
Go to places (with someone or without) that you would not normally go to. Parties, live gigs, etc.
A place where there are crowds and crowds of people.
That has helped me, and I'm not as anxious as I was.
Or try to do something relaxing before you do something nerve racking.
Listen to calming music, clear your thoughts, and concentrate on your breathing.
There are also some really good lines that you can repeat and say to yourself in your head.
E.g. I know this makes me feel uncomfortable, but I will be ok ... or even better, try to make a joke out of it (might be hard to do the first time) but something like Don't worry... be happy... don't worry, be happy now... hooooooo etc.
Hope this helps. Otherwise, I'd suggest you go to your local Dr and talk to him/her about your anxiety.
Good luck, hope it all goes well for you.
write down what is making you anxious and what the worst part about that is. Take a course in ujaii (nasal) breathing take long slow deep breathes from the nose and out of the nose. Relax the face, jaw and tongue. See a therapist. perhaps meds
check with doctors first, but if it's awhile before you can get to one check out a book called anxiety and phobia workbook it saved my husbands life. once he started going to a doctor he got on buspar for anxiety and xanax or klonopin (which i take with the buspar) and try a daily journal i know i keep saying this to everyone but i can't stress enough how much it helps. it's like if you put it down on paper you know where it is and don't have to think about it for awhile. relaxation and meditation are big helpers too.
i believe so. i use my mind when i'm anxious to settle me down. i take a deep breath and thinking about breathing slowing everything down in my mind it helps me. but you have to be focused mentally.its not some great science its just taking control of your emotions.
