Topamax for Anxiety??
Question: My DR has prescribed me Topamax 50mg. for Anxiety Relief. Has anyone had luck at this dose? Can you tell me how quickly it will work? Thank you.
Answers: This is an off-label script. Topamax is FDA approved for treating migraines and seizure disorders (it is also frequently prescribed as a mood stabilizer/treatment for bipolar illness). If your anxiety is related to any of the above, however, it is possible that you may find some relief from this medication.
