Does any of you take Celexia for BPD??

Question: i have been researching BPD because i have good reason to believe that i am BPD. the more i research the more it is apparent that i do have BPD. i would like to know what are some medications that are prescibed for BPD.
Answers: It is very important that you discuss this with your doctor(s), and make sure they listen to you. I was diagnosed with depression several years ago and took celexa and then lexapro. When I would start the meds it would give me a huge initial boost because my body chemistry had a response to the meds. But after that initial jumpstart (long enough for the doctors to say I was ok), I would fall back into a depressive cycle. I'm now on lithium and depakote, and have a lot more balance. Nothing is ever going to make you feel perfect, or happy all the time. But if you still find yourself being depressed, talk to your doctor. I had to go through three different psychatrists before I found one that would sit down and listen to my whole history. I would recommend WebMD, they have a good section on Bipolar.
Well usually they will give you a mood stabilizer with an anti depressant. I would suggest Lamictal because it has few side effects. Either way ask you Psychaitrist
don't just try to figure out the meds yourself. I have bipolar and take Celexa and Depakote. It works for me. Other people I know take Lithium and various other drugs. The best thing to do is get with a psychiatrist and start trying to get a diagnosis for real. You do not want to be bipolar unless you absolutely have to!! Otherwise, Antidepressants and antipsychotics and anticonvulsants are prescribed.
i take abilify, zoloft, and wellbutrin for bi polar good luck
