I have recently weaned myself from Zoloft. I have flashes of strong anger over small issues.??
Question: I also ejaculate very quickly now. When I started taking Zoloft it took a couple of months to be able to ejaculate in a reasonable time (it took a long time to come.)
Has anyone else experienced these symptoms?
Answers: You don't say how long you have been off of Zoloft, but it takes at least 4 weeks and perhaps even six or eight for the effects of Zoloft to cease. This type of medication can very much inhibit ejaculation, so suddenly withdrawing the inhibitor can cause a rebound type effect. Same goes for flashes of anger. It does make me wonder if you are truly weaned off of the medication or not. Either resume a very small dose of Zoloft - like 5 or 10 mg for a few weeks as your body adjusts and then stop entirely or try to rough it out with the hopes that you mood and sexual function will re-adjust. Good luck.
I had those symptoms but I was taking effexor, but I talked to the nurse that I was seeing and actually told her what was going on cause it was getting to be annoying, and she had me take I believe it was a small dosage of wellbutrin. I haven't taken anything for a while but I think the problem isn't gonna be solved with taking anything like that.
I went through the same thing with paxil - its been over two months now and I had to fight for every day those first 2 months- I have experienced all the symptoms -
