What can I do to cool down??

Question: Sometimes after I get out of a hot shower, I have horrible hot flashes that last for about an hour. What can I do to cool down?
Serious answers, no jumping in the pool please.
Answers: Stop taking hot showers.

In the summer, after I took a shower I would keep sweating and get my clothes nasty. So I started taking cold showers, colder the better. I love them now.

If you cant take a cold shower, then take a hot one, but finish off with cold water. Try to stand in there for like 15 seconds in the cold. Gradually increase the time until its all a cold shower.
If you are going through menopause, you may want to consider hormone therapy to control your hot flashes. There are also herbal remedies that have been shown to have some effectiveness, like black cohosh.

Otherwise, just try to avoid hot tubs and hot showers -- take showers at lower temperatures.
Use ice cubes, you should go to the hospital
This might be something really serious. I'd see a doctor.
