Photographic Memory??
Question: I know people think its some sort of gift but i would like to develop mine a bit more so is there anyway?
i have noticed recently that it has improved a little because since my exams it has been alot better but does anyone know any techniques?
Answers: Practice makes perfect.
The best is to push yourself to remember pictures and words. Start small and add as you go. Here is how:
Cut photos out of magazines of random things.
Have at least 50 or so.
Then practice by looking at a picture for 30 seconds, try to remember what you see and then after you turn the photo over wait 30 seconds then write down everything your remember about the picture like colors, items, descriptions, words and more. Write down everything your can remember in 3 minutes.
Then take the photo and see what you got correct and get a total.
Then wait a day and do another picture the same way. Each time slightly cutting down the time you view the photo and lengthen the time before you turn it over. And also take less time writing. Example: Next take 29 seconds looking, 29 seconds before writing and 2.55 minutes to write.
Cut these down only by seconds each time. You will notice improvements each time. Your mind and eyes and hand will coordinate, then you start sharpening the brain.
Remember also, to have a great mind and good memory you need healthy food and good sleep.
Im skeptical of photographic memory, if you can imagine how much data we store in our heads from everyday activities our brains just automatically gets rid of any data it considers irrelevant to save space, when we dream at night our brains just retain what it thinks is important and gets rid of irrelevant info.
You could try using mnemonics
