Can anxiety cause extra heartbeats??

Question: Or do extra heartbeats cause anxiety?

I've been to a cardio and he says I'm fine.
Answers: Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn PhD. highly suggests in his one of his books for anyone that experiences anxiety occasionally or quite often The Daily Practice of 'The Mindfulness of Breathing' which greatly helps to reduce anxiety, and it produces a very calm, worriless, peaceful mind, and helps one to remain very focused in the present moment. He has many books out on this subject.
** But the least expensive route to go - to effectively learn The Mindfulness of Breathing is to Go to Wildmind Buddhist Meditation's Website to learn For FREE how to practice the Four Steps of The Mindfulness of Breathing.
This Will reduce your worries, stress, and anxieties, and will produce within yourself,
clarity in the present moment, focus, understanding, and peace, and a keen ability to remain completly calm to deal wisely, quite effectively in the most stressful situations in life.
After learning The Mindfulness of Breathing, and practicing this for a few weeks, you might find it most rewarding to go on to the sites, Free lessons on Metta, Bhava = Lovingkindness Meditation. You will, as you read and practice The Mindfulness of Breathing on Wildmind Buddhist Meditations site, definately see why I suggest this. It is most helpful for us as humans to learn to cultivate Lovingkindness toward ourselves and other human beings.

Hope this info. helps. A few yrs. back, it most definately helped me alot, and continues to.

Also, to let you know, Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn's Book that talks about this is called Coming to Our Senses . It is an excellent book, costs about $8.00 used on Amazon.com or $12.95 at Barnes & Noble Bookstore. If you are a little strapped for money, go to the Wildmind Buddhist Meditation Site, and look up The MIndfulness of Breathing, which helps to teach a person how to deal very effectively with Anxiety, Stress, Panic, Depression - all with our breathing. It is that simple. Again, it is free site to learn this from. And a person does not have to be a buddhist to practice Mindfulness of Breathing. The Mindfulness of Breathing has actually been around for over 2,500 years;and has been used in the Medical Professions in the U.S. for 65 years now. It heals many physical and especially mental & emotional ailments/sufferings of humanity. It only takes 15 minutes a day of practice. That is nothing considering we have 24 HRS. in a day. By dealing effectively with anxieties, stress, worries - we can manage, and often cure our own physical dis-eases. We, ourselves, have the means to do this.
yes so stay calm and dont think about more than i thing at a time.
yes. anxiety and stress can cause many problems with a persons body. Heartbeat is just one thing that can be affected
It could happen either way. It sounds like your anxiety has caused you extra heartbeats. I like Celexa for anxiety. I did not know how much better I could feel untill I took it.
Before I used to get so anxious about the everyday problems of life. Then I would drink Black Tea, which has alot of caffeine. With the mixture of the two, I was having very fast heartbeats. I thought I was having major problems. The doctor asked me what was I doing daily, for my heart exam showed I had a good heart.
When I told him I was drinking alot of Black Tea, plus I was not sleeping, and anxious. He knew it was me, that was causing the problems for myself. My habits were not good for my sensitive stomach either. When I cut down on the tea drinking, and trusted in God more, things were better for me. No more fast heart beat. Yes, we all go through one time or another having great anxiety. This can cause us some problems. So taking each day at a time, each problem one at a time. With the help of others, and God. We can lower down our stress, and anxiety.
YEP! Listen to your cardiologist - relax. Be grateful that you are healthy and find out how you can control your anxieties.
yes it can do many a thing.
