Cataract surgery??
Question: how bad is this surgery on someone in their 70's and how long does it take them to heal so they can see?
Answers: The surgery is routinely performed on people in their 70's. It's a very simple, non-invasive procedure that has little to no pain or 'down time'. Alot of people notice better vision the same day, although full healing can take weeks. It's typically painless, in fact most patients say taking their eye drops is the worst part :)
I would advise you to research the Dr. first, make sure you have someone who has an excellent reputation for CATARACT surgery, not everything else. It makes a difference, trust me!
