What causes peoples' writing to slant when not supported by lines??
Answers: Because your arm moves in a circular motion from the elbow (where you pivot) so your writing will move in a circular motion as your progress.
I was taught to write with a slant. We actually had paper with slants on it that we put underneath the paper we were writing on to help us learn how to slant our writing. I think I'm the only person who was ever taught that--and, to this day, my handwriting is slanted.
