Touch my eyes for contacts??

Question: ok so i want contacts, but the thing is...
i cant touch my eye, i did TODAY LITERALLY
for the first time ever, and it was ok.. but only my right eye
my left one idk lol
however, i can only do it by pulling my bottom lid down
and my mom and brother said the only
way to put contacts in
is to lift the top part of the eye lid
is this true?
and is there anyway to practice on touching my eye
to make it easier for me?
thanks!
Answers: Unfortunately, the only way to get them in IS to touch your eye and if this is a real problem for you, perhaps contacts aren't right for you right now. You can practice touching your eye and holding your eyelids open. Since this will be your first time with this, you WILL have to get the upper lid and lashes as far up as possible and the lower lid and lashes down as far as possible, in order to keep yourself from blinking and to keep the lenses from interfering with getting the lens in.

The best thing for you to do, in my opinion, is to find a friend or someone in your family who wears contacts and watch what they do and then practice, practice, practice. (I should mention that you should only practice the motions; do not actually put their contacts in) The lenses are not going to jump off of your finger and into your eye. If you want the lenses to go in, you're going to have to get over your fear of touching your eyes. Getting lenses in doesn't hurt and once you have the first one in, its usually all down hill from there.

Good luck!
Just pull up your top eyelid with a finger on your left hand, and pull down the bottome eyelid with your middle finger on your right hand; this forces you to stop blinking. Then, insert the contact with the index finger of your right hand.
just calm down when u do it...open your eye, look up an put it in....when u look around it should go in place
im 12 and i have contacts!
ok i was scared too but don't worry !
& stop poking your eye that hurts and is bad!
contacts don't hurt i forget they are even in!
when you put your contacts in you don't touch your eyeball you touch the contacts and your eyelid thats it email me with any questions (: Good luck & don't be scared
your contact actually works as a barrier between your finger and your eye making the burning sensation you get a little more subtle . . . however, yhe question is will you be able to get over the fear of thinking it will hurt
There are different ways to do it, and you just have to find what works for you. You can lift either lid or both while you put the contact in with the other hand.
To practice wash your hands and try touching your eyes gently. It takes practice but you get used to it.
im scared too=(
You can lower your lower lid if that is easier. The only thing you have to worry about is getting them in your eye without hitting your eyelashes or eyelids. Contacts actually feel wet and more comfortable than your finger. It does take time to get used to them though.
