If a person has a lazy eye can he/she tell by looking in the mirror??

Question: Or if one eye is not aligned can he/she tell by simply looking in the mirror?
Answers: I thought the term lazy eye referred to amblyopia, which my sister has, rather than misaligned eyes or weak eye muscles. She was born cross-eyed, which wasn't detected until she was about seven years old. By that time, her eyes had compensated for the double vision by having one of the eyes shut down. Despite having to wear an eye patch and glasses, there wasn't really anything that could be done for her. To this day, she is nearly blind in one eye and has poor depth perception.
I have a lazy eye but it only shows when I am tired and yes you can see it in a mirror but it is difficult because you cannot look directly into your eyes you have to sort of glace another direction in the mirror. Most of the to me people don't notice too much with mine anyway so don't be overly concerned. It might help to be examined by an eye care professional to see if glasses would help.
