Whats a good way to get your mind off of feeling your heartbeat thruout your body??
Question: I seem to at times feel every beat of my heart, which at nervous times has pauses and skips. its all supposedly normal for me considering i've had alot of heart checks and tests performed all resulted normally. and have read that feeling ones heartbeat means your to sensitive and aware of it. after countless efforts to desenitize myself and not be so aware i have failed. any suggestions or does anyone else notice this?
Answers: I had a friend who told me almost the exact same thing that you describe. Instead of tuning out of her body, she would tune in and focus very specifically on different areas of her body. For example, she would concentrate on wiggling her toes, then move up to her calves, and so on. This would calm her nerves and eventually ease the tension of a rising heartbeat. I cannot tell you from personal experience, but I know this worked for her!
